Because the Saturn Model proposes a highly unusual and catastrophic history of the solar
system, it has prompted an interdisciplinary discussion, with issues ranging from
celestial dynamics and planetary geology to the origins of ancient languages and the birth
of civilization in the wake of cosmic catastrophe. Proponents of the theory claim that,
in a most specific way, the model predicts the dominant profiles of the planets revealed
by space age exploration, including numerous features that came as a great surprise to
astronomers.
At the same time, the theory claims to account for the recurring ritual, artistic and
symbolic motifs of the great civilizations, down to an extraordinary level of detail. We are
therefore inviting challenges from specialists in the affected fields, which will then be
presented, along with responses, in the electronic newsletter.
